![]() The Puerto Rican Day Parade of Western New York Association, Inc. is a non profit 501-3c corporation. All participants must submit all the required documents located in the parade section for inclusion in the parade. Each participant specifically agrees that the owner and sponsor of each particular unit accepts full responsibility regarding personal injury and property damage in the operation of said unit. Your submission of the registration acknowledges your agreement to not hold the City of Buffalo, Puerto Rican Day Parade of WNY Association, Inc., (The Association), or any of its organizers or sponsors liable. Each participating group agrees that it will have enough personnel to safely guide their group along the parade route. Participants acknowledge that any images or recordings obtained during any aspect of the parade, including organizational meetings and training seminars, etc., may be used for marketing and future training and agrees to such use. The Association is not responsible for any missing, damaged or stolen items or property. The participants agree to follow the Rules of Participation and submit a completed Hold Harmless Agreement the day of the parade. All vehicles, including car shows and floats, must have adequate insurance and must be operated safely and in compliance with all state and local laws. Proof of insurance and a copy of the driver’s license must be submitted by September 01, 2007 for all participating vehicles and drivers. Car shows will be required to provide additional information, fees and refundable security deposits, and may have to attend a safety awareness meeting prior to the parade. Additional information and added registration information will be sent to car show representatives after receipt of initial registration documents. Float workshops will be held to address safe operation and building strategies for floats. Information will be sent to float representatives after receipt of registration documents. Music must not have any obscene or derogatory language. Participants must not be under the influence of any alcohol and /or illegal substances during the parade. Participants under the age of eighteen (18) who are not sponsored by an organization must have their parent/guardian consent and signature on the entry form. Parental consent and supervision is strongly encouraged to all organizations. ***NOTE: VIOLATION OF THESE RULES SHALL RESULT IN EXPULSION BEFORE OR DURING THE PARADE AND MAY RESULT IN LEGAL ACTION. |
